The end!

I learned in the past 10 weeks besides how to write a scientific paper, that it is necessary to have a back-up plan when things don't go they way they should. I have learned a lot about researching and how for my next project I will like to be given the topic. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Wow, not as easy!!

Wow, the research for my paper is taking me all over the place. I have found out some really shocking statistics about my topic for this project. I feel that after reading about this crime, I can better understand how I can help the victims. Even if we are far from them, there is always something you and I can do to help in the fight of human trafficking. One stumbling block I have come across is finding an argument for my paper. I do not seem to get this part. HELP?

Family

In the past few months I have come to know more about myself and my family. We have grown apart after my dad passed. However, our children are growing up fast and we have seen each other uniting again. Many have reached out to me for advice, and I have placed my emotions aside to accomodate my nieces and nephews wishes. I have many graduations coming up and I look forward to see them walk in their caps and gowns.

What have you done for me lately?

Attending school has opened up my mind and heart to the endless possibilities available to me in this life. My life has changed since starting at Kaplan. I value myself more than before and I have come to understand that I have the power to create and achieve my goals. I never thought I would make it this far, so I can say I have gained an abundance of confidence. After each semester I continue to remind myself, "you see, look how far you've come". I am a rolemodel for my two angels. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to remember that the only thing no one will ever take away from me, is my education. Don't Steal It

Plagiarism is a no-no. After reading about plagiarism I feel that it is a disservice to use someone's work and not to give credit to the original author. I also think that when people reuse previous papers, they are actually cheating themselves. They are not giving themselves the chance to be creative again. Copying someone else's work is down right dishonest. I believe that we can all avoid plagiarism once we can fully understand all that it entails. It is not only about not giving credit to an author. We are living in this technology era where everything can be traced. Let's do our best to be honest students.

Try sleeping with a broken heart

For the past eight months I have been without my daughters and boy have I suffered during this time. They are spending time with their dad. Tomorrow is a sad day for me because I cannot spend it with my kids. One thing that bothers me as a mom is to see how their dad is spoiling them. He does have more than what I can offer them, but I can sense in my oldest how she is turning to be so selfish. I can tell how she doesn't appreciate things. As a parent I am concerned because when they return home I will have to deal with all the nonsense that comes with this behavior. Do you think I am overeacting and what advice can you give me? I am so stressed out and I am finding myself surrounded by obstacles, I am beginning to forget who I am.

Uneasy

I have been feeling uneasy these past few days. I don't know which topic I should write about. I want to write about sex slavery in the US, but I can't figure exactly what to write about. Children are suffering every day because of it. I have a 12 yr old daughter and to know that there are being tricked as young as her makes me mad. I will research this subject more and see what I can come up with that will make a strong statement.
